Application are invited for the Posts of Engineer and Ship Surveyor-Cum-Deputy Director General Technical in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

- Qualifications : The qualifications regarding experience is/are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in respect posts reserved for them, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the post reserved for them.
- Desirable Qualification : One year experience in survey and inspection of merchant ship and one year experience in survey, inspection and examination of merchant ship.
- No. Of Post : 24 (UR-13, OBC-6, SC-3, ST-2) Posts.
- Age Limit : 50-55 years.
- Pay Scale : Rs. 15600-39100/- PB-3 Rs. 7600/- Grade pay Total emoluments excluding TA HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs.38,280/-p.m. approximately .

Fee payable is Rs.50/- in the shape of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. (fee exempted for SC/ ST/ PH/ Women candidates).
