Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from interested and eligible departmental candidates (Lower Division Grade) for the Upper Division Grade Special Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2012 for recruitment in Central Secretariat Clerical Service

Important Dates for Upper Division Grade Special Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2012

• Opening date for sending application: 7 April 2012
• Closing date for sending application: 4 May 2012 upto 5 pm
• Closing date for sending application (from remote areas): 11 May 2012
• Tentative Date of the Examination: 15 July 2012

Eligibility Criteria :

Any permanent, regular or temporary, regularly appointed person of the Lower Division Grade of the Central Secretariat Clerical Service can appear for the examination. The other eligibility conditions include the following.

• Crucial Date: 1 July 2003
• Length Of Service: Not less than 5 years from the crucial date as the Lower Division Clerk in the Central Secretariat Clerical Service

Note: Lower Division Clerks, who are on deputation to ex-cadre posts with the approval of the competent authority, will be eligible to be admitted to the examination if otherwise eligible

• Age Limit (as on 1 July 2003): Maximum 50 years
• Skill Test on Computers: Unless exempted from passing the Monthly/ Quarterly Typewriting Test held by Staff Selection Commission for the purpose of confirmation in the Lower Division Grade, he/ she should have passed this test on or before the date of notification of the examination

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the Written Examination scheduled to be conducted by the Commission
